Sightseeing:
Iglesia de la Candelaria: The old parish church is located upside of the thoroughfare and is home to the
Candelaria: A 16th century statue of the patron saint.
Casa del Maestro: The Casa del Maestro is located in the town centre in the Calle 18 de Julio, in which an ethnographic museum has been established. Primarily ceramics from pre-Spanish times are to be found here.
Opening hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-12:00. Free entry.
Centro Gastronómico: An old Canary building La Venta is located right next to the Casa del Maestro, in which agricultural products from the community are available for purchase. This centre receives public support and is intended to preserve the production of traditional foods and other articles, such as mojos, cheese, and wine.
Opening hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-12:00. Free entry.
Smugglers’ harbour: Below Tijarafe are located a large cave and bay, which offer the opportunity for swimming or fishing. Locals used to use the rock face to build provisional holiday homes. The path to the sea is demanding (with a slope of 600m), but well worth it.
Mirador El Time: Lookout point at about 600 m. A fantastic view of the Aridane Valley and the mountains is to be had here
